Tuesday: Candidates’ Forum in Oxford

With a slate of candidates to choose from — eleven to fill six seats on council, and two mayoral candidates — Oxford voters are wondering who deserves their vote; which candidate stands for what issue(s); and how to make a connection and find some answers.

Wonder no more: Tuesday evening, October 8th, from 6:00–8:00pm, a Candidates’ Forum is being held in the Oxford Capitol Theatre on Main Street.

This is an initiative of the Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce, not staff of the Town of Oxford. While some local residents were hoping for an event open to taking questions from the audience, the organizers have chosen to present all candidates to the public with questions asked by a moderator.

  1. Well I enjoyed my first of many meeting of the candidates.

I agree that the theatre was dark, hard to see everyone there on stage, microphone problems

Had citizens of Oxford (in attendance) had a chance of actually asking questions of concern or what each candidate for counsel could bring to Oxford – who knows

    Cheers
